A swell competition

So this is my 100th post! How time flies when you're having fun. Thanks for sticking with me all this time, it really does mean a lot.

To prove just how much this means to me, I'm having a SWELL competition (see what I did there?)! I have never done this sort of competition before, so I am very excited. The prize is, shockingly, a piece of Swell Vintage jewellery, but it won't be just any piece of jewellery. The winner will get a super-special CUSTOM piece! You can pick from either a bracelet or a necklace, and you will be able to specify the kind of style you'd like. I'll work with you, and together we will make something truly one-off.

I'm off to Egypt next week, so I'm going to keep the competition open until Sunday 26th September. To enter, all you have to do is tell me the kind of piece you'd like to win and include your email address. If you have Twitter, you can also gain an extra entry by tweeting: "I'd like to win this swell competition! @swellvintage". The winner will be chosen at random.

So what sort of piece would you like to win? Perhaps you'd like to win something pearly and sparkly - a bit like my latest piece, the Isabella bracelet, now available on the Swell Vintage shop?

Made from a vintage doo-dad, freshwater pearls and vintage chain, the Isabella bracelet will make any lady feel like a princess.

I can't wait to hear all of your ideas. Good luck!

Much love,

Frankie

  2. I'd love a bracelet or necklace made out of one of my grandmothers vintage brooches, with added glass beads or sparkles, maybe even her original pearls reworked with it. She was my best friend and the epitome of vintage glamour. It would be lovely to use your skills to turn one of her pieces sat in a box into something I could wear! 4. Doesn´t time fly? It´s crazy! This weekend we´re off to Helsinki for a big vintage fair, and bringing your pieces. Hopefully they´ll get some attention there! Have an amazing time in Egypt!

Oh, and of course I have to enter the competition! I would love to win a piece of jewellery to wear at my wedding next year, since your pieces are so romantic! And of course I´m wearing a vintage dress, so it would be just gorgeous to have a piece with vintage and antique components to go with that. :)

Hope all is well with you!

  13. I'd love something like the times, they are a changing neclace. I love clocks, old keys, flowers- like the ones in a rose by any other name...I love long neclaces and I'm also a big fan of turquoise.

  15. Hey Frankie :) I already Tweeted about this (http://i55.tinypic.com/2010gmt.jpg) but I figured I would enter on here as well just for some extra luck. I have been eying your jewelery for ages, but as a broke college student in the States it is quite difficult to actually buy one, so I'm quite excited about this giveaway.

Anyway, I really like the simplicity of the Isabella bracelet you just designed. Having a similar style (delicate and quite feminine) as a necklace would be perfect, really.

    I've got my fingers crossed!

  16. Hey Frankie! I already Tweeted about this (http://i55.tinypic.com/2010gmt.jpg) but I'm going to leave a comment here for good measure.

Being a broke college student and living the States makes it somewhat difficult to (logically) purchase one of your pieces, so I am quite excited about this giveaway, haha.

I really love the delicate beauty of your newest piece -- having that as a necklace would be absolutely amazing.

    Hope Egypt is going well!
