On the cards

Recently I styled a photoshoot for the very lovely and talented Zest of the Loganberry (aka Hannah Coates) and, quite frankly, it was awesome.

I have been a fan of Hannah's work for a while, as her photos have a wonderfully whimsical, romantic quality to them, so when I heard she wanted to do a Tarot card themed shoot, I was over the moon. Although I'm still fairly new to the whole styling game, I'd been wanting to work on something dramatic and creative for a very long time, so it goes without saying that I relished this opportunity. Plus I got to make stuff and use my glue gun! What more could I ask for?

The team was also incredible too, comprising of:

Model: Ellie Weston (Select)
Photographer: Hannah Coates
Make up: Ezme Thomas
Hair: Ritsu - Haruhide Ishizaki
Assistant: Indi Petrucci

Anyway - without further ado, here are the final shots:

'The Lovers'
Lingerie: Ayten Gasson
Shirt: Vintage
Necklace: Swell Vintage
Headband: Loulou Loves You

'The Hanging Man'
Rope hooded top: Made by me
Velvet bodysuit: Primark
Noose belt: Made by me

'Justice'
Dress: Alice Palmer (courtesy of the amazing Young British Designers)

'The Fool'
Dress: Vintage
Headwear: Her Curious Nature

'Death'
Lace dress: ASOS
Black slip: Vintage
Lace caplet: Vintage
Velvet cape: Haberdashery
Headwear: Her Curious Nature
Necklace: Swell Vintage
Alligator head: Ebay

So what do you think? Personally, I couldn't be happier with the photos. The whole team was very strong, and I think that is reflected in these images. I'd love to hear your thoughts though, so please - sock it to me! I've been working on other shoots and have lots more coming up, so I will have more pictures to show you soon.

I'd like to thank Hannah for getting me involved in the shoot, the whole team for being so incredible, Ayten Gasson for lending her beautiful lingerie, Sabrina of Her Curious Nature for making the stunning headwear just for us and Young British Designers for being kind enough to trust me with that unbelievable Alice Palmer dress!

Thanks for taking the time to read and look at my stuff! You know I love you, right?

Much love,

Frankie

Style AND comfort

I don't usually blog much about interior things, but when my good friend Matthew Zorpas showed me these incredibly cool and fun cushion covers by new British company TwentySevenPalms I knew I had to share them with you!

Mexican 'Day of the Dead' print

'Frida Kahlo' print

Don't you just love the gorgeously quirky vintage-inspired prints? TwentySevenPalms, based in London, sell contemporary and unique cushion covers in all sorts of eye catching statement prints. They source their fabrics from different areas around the world, so you can add a real taste of the exotic to your home without having to splash out on an overpriced plane ticket! As if that weren't enough, their prices are insanely reasonable, ranging from only £10-£12 - so you don't even have to wait till pay day!

To browse their other striking designs, head on over to www.twentysevenpalms.com.

Many thanks,
